For some reason I can't explain rationally, I've been binge-watching toy opening videos since December. Personally, I'm not the type to collect physical toys, because they take up space, but I sure like digital ones. So here are a few (dozen) avatars I've made on the Subeta pet site. It's kind of like Neopets, but with older members, better art and less dramaz.

Yes, it definitely is in terms of art and having a working in-site currency. Neopets offers more games, though. It's all a matter of taste.

It's Neopets 4ever for me. xD I'll be there until the site goes down. My account is 16 years old. But yeah, it's nothing like it used to be. I stay away from the boards and just live my own virtual life there.
But the idea of these human avatars is fun! There seems to be almost unlimited choices to customize, that's nice!

Oh and it's good you can satisfy your collecting needs by just watching opening videos! It's much cheaper too! xD I can spend hours watching doll photos and trying to find photos of certain dolls I'm interested in. I usually fell in love with dolls that aren't that popular so photos might be really hard to find.

Neopets was fun back in the day. I remember I had to scramble all over the map just to find stuff I could feed my pets! The omelettes always made me hungry. I loved that game where you whack an effigy of the dictator with a stick, to see how far he can fly. x) And the Wheel of Monotony...

Many Subetans have accounts on NeoPets, too.

I'm positively addicted to the Youtube channel Great Big Toy Box. Jen is the most honest of all the toy reviewers. She just bursts out with whatever she's thinking, which makes her videos really funny. For some reason, I love watching LOL Surprise openings, although I would never have collected them for myself. MLPs are more my style, I think. I watch other channels whenever I get withdrawals, but none of them quite compares. CookieSwirl C does some pretty good role-plays, and she's a great voice actor, but she can get a bit too... squeeky? Toy Caboodle has interesting items, but she's obviously from an above average wealthy background, and comes off as very wasteful at times. She's got several videos where she basically ruins stuff worth quite a bit of money, just to see what happens if she mixes it all together. O_O

I have spent many whole nights bingeing on Flickr photos of BJDs too.
