I was kind of a Ginny/Draco shipper. I thought he would give her something constructive to do--like be a strong woman and kick his evil little ass into shape--instead of becoming a Mary Sue and Harry's straight-out-of-the-blue lust object.
I can see Danny becoming like Pip: heroically taking care of a bunch of idiots, all the while hiding his dark, suicidal fantasies, and with a spouse he wishes he could still love but would rather trade in for a saner model. Or do we really want that for him? X)
