I'm playing the Magpies again, yay! But... something unforseen has happened. I'm starting to doubt my choice of Heir. It's not that Flora is suddenly made of fail, like poor Alice MacAvoy, but she's just a little bit too... pretty. No, she's not beautiful in the regular human way, but the nose is the only thing about her that makes her "abnormal", and it doesn't even come from the Magpies. She has about a 90% chance of producing fully normal children, and then this won't really be a prettacy anymore. We're only a little over half-way, so I feel like that's a bit soon.
Ferrett has the receding chin and possibly eyebrows of the Magpies of old, and actually looks a little bit like both of her parents. (Chester Gieke and Abbie, in case it's been too long.) The only reason I disqualified her for Heir was because she has a darn near impossible LTW of having 20 or 30 pet best friends. However, Perma Plat can be earned through fulfilling other wants, and... poor, sweet little Ferrett, I've really neglected her in favour of Flora.
I assume Flora will feature heavily, even if she doesn't become the Heir. She's got her heart set on becoming a Space Pirate, and is a Knowledge Sim, so she's generally awesome. I'm not even closing the door on her having a child or two of her own, sometime in the future. For now, I just can't do double Heirs. The non-immortals will eventually succumb to old age, but it will take some time for most of them to even reach elderhood.
