I'm having so much fun playing these horrible families, the regular ones I occasionally play in my "old style" seem dull in comparison! When I had Sims 3 installed, I had the same phenomenon happening. The terrible Throttlewoods - who were my first expedition into remotely ugly Sims* - were a hoot, while the family who was based on my original characters didn't really capture me at all.
*I should probably see if I could find the disc with my first Sims 2 back-up. There should be some Sims on it that I used to think were *~*beautiful*~*, but when I look at my old pictures, I just shake my head.
Scumppa is a real work of art, though. :) You should be proud of him!
