Day 8:

I don't really like the look of our backmost property line. Our farm backs up to a long stretch of brushland, which gives way to an inhospitably dark forest and rocky hills. JB's chronicles warn of Wolferdiggers and Creepstalkers. I don't believe this is Wolferdigger country, but Creepstalkers are still dangerous to small animals like chickens, and can live in shrubland like what we've got outside of our property. To deter them I've started constructing a couple of pens for the chickens. What I really wanted was to build a safe home for Ginger and Linnie, but there were no suitable blueprints available. Even so, having a row of buildings as a barrier against the wild and unknowable will make the farm more homely for all its inhabitants.

Day 9:

The Cowwoman Marie gave me a rabbit to take care of. It'll make a nice-sized pet for the girls.

I'm trying my best to earn some moolah by filling small orders from the Cowwoman and Landlord-Guy, but it's hard with such limited resources. There's hardly any water to use for crops, and my children and animals need to eat. I even had to use formula on the turkey, so we can make some dough off of selling her excessive feathers.

Day 10:

I've got my eyes on a coupla plots joining up to my land, that I'd like to purchase for expansion. They're on opposite sides of the lot, and I'm thinking one could be the paddock for horses and other large animals, and the other could be an orchard. I need 30k moneys for both of them, so I've been trying to fulfill my orders. Sadly I ran out of milk and eggs, and I had to go volunteer at neighbouring farms in the hopes that I could scavenge a bit. I even interacted with their goats, groan! At least I made a bit of cash, and managed to steal two eggs. I've had to invest in a better egg-laying chicken, a red one. She's just as needy as the others, but at least she pays me back with more eggs.
