Seriously long update!

So... Where were we? Last time around, Louise had twin girls named Abigale Mahara and Winnifred Peggy. Abbie is the new heir, and definitely has the more wholesome personality. Rowland fought with Isabel. Francine fought with Bartholomew. Mary Elizabeth got fired from her job after a failed attempt to usurp her boss' position. As a petty act of revenge, she decided to imprint her values onto the baby twins. Edna went on a date with Sidewalk Guy, who was actually named Timothy. Molly got engaged to Harold. Francine grew up and had a visit from Dr. Kopfschmertzen the flying shrink. Neale became the first of Generation 3 to get old. There was a lot of discussion about babies, and a very ghostly Frankenstein Butler.

Between the last update and this, Thaddeus and Reuben moved in with the MacAvoys, and are no longer part of the Magpie household. The MacAvoy ISBI is continuing, but I can't post the updates in the Legacy community anymore since I broke a major rule. You'll have to check my journal for it.

You probably remember that Rowland got engaged to Helena. That's where rehoming the boys comes in. He's going to marry her!

Here they are, exchanging vows, with her birthplace in the background. Prepare for wedding spam, or just scroll down a bit.

Awww, now Helena's a Magpie. This means that all three of Elliott and Fronie's surviving children have joined this legacy. The two families are basically one. However, none of these marriages have resulted in an heir. In a future generation I'd like to have an heir who's half Magpie, half MacAvoy, but it won't be until at least Generation 6.

Maybe I should have invited Helena's other kids?

I saw this creature coming down the stairs, and I though "WHO'S THAT???" Then I remembered that I made over the ghostly butler for the giggles.

Rowland: Open wide, LOL!

These two are the definition of class.

Burton: I want more baaaabiiiiies!

Nope. Not happening. Nuh-huh.

Sharkey: And with that, Ladies and Gentlemen, I draw the conclusion that I've grown up.

He rolled Romance, which could be fun since I'm not obliged to fulfill his LTW, which I haven't checked yet. Good thing he's related to all the redheads in the house!

Louise has been a good mom, despite all her worries about it.

You know, I think we'd rather have Ethan back, if you don't mind.

The blurb for Francine's first novel. Is it pretencious enough for an aspiring intellectual's literary debut, you think?

It fulfilled her want of writing a great novel, and gave her 8000 points which sent her to platinum. If she can just keep cranking out the books, she'll stay well out of Aspiration failure. :)

She started writing a new one right away. BTW, the Sumo wrestler is the villain, not Hiedeman.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Okay, she was just demoted. But she's got to start from scratch again. It's going to take forever!

This must be what an Atom-bomb looks like right before it explodes.

Weedy: HA HA HAAAAAAA I'M THE AVENGER OF THE OCEAN! I'M GONNA EXTERMINATE HUMANITY HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

...yikes.

And then Grim came for Laney. :(

Alfie's job is to combat corruption and injustice, not endulge in it! And it's better to be punished for doing the right thing, than to do something you deserve to be punished for, if the chance card decides to bite him in the bum. Guilty!

Okay, those ellipses look a bit ominous? Maybe her daddy has placed a hit on Alfie? :P

Taking a cute picture of the twins together was all but impossible.

The smokescreen didn't work too well for Jen. Let's try flashbang this time!

Okay, the points are good. He didn't really need the money. A promotion would have been better, because once he becomes Captain Hero, he'll get his happy ever after and can stop chasing Aspiration points.

So the top of the track is Mayor, not President? Okay then. Now Alfie definitely needs to become an elder, because Senators in leather jackets, who look 23, stand out a bit.

Peggy: Put me down, strange man! You're not Ethan! Ethan has HAIR! Auuunt Mooollllyyy! HELP!

AGCK! Francine! EAT! NOW! Starving artist, indeed!

Bartholomew: So, you're my new grandmother, huh?

Now she's his grandmother AND aunt, which makes things even more complicated for his parents. Remember how Isabel's almost Burton's aunt, since her brother is his uncle-by-marriage. Well, now her sister has married his dad, making her his aunt for real!

Don't worry, Rowland. You're over 100 years old, you're allowed to be flabby.

Ettie: Look, Elmer... We've been together for a few years now, and you've gotten a much better haircut, and I just thought... that maybe we should make it official? Get engaged?

Ettie was nearing elderhood again, and she didn't have all that many Aspiration points. I wanted her to remain young for a while longer, because I like her funny faces and she's fun to play. Besides, I wanted Louise to have her sister with her for a while. Neale was getting very old, Laurence was already dead, and the other two siblings had moved away permanently. It was worth a shot.

Oh no! It doesn't really matter, though. She was really close to elderhood anyway.

At least she's moving back up.

This one has been up before. Contact base.

I actually think she's got all ten of them already.

He brought home Keely Duckling, from [livejournal.com profile] alittlestrange's Prettacy.

Oh, so you like Keely, do you? :)

Imagine the babies. I feel another genetic CAS-experiment coming up!

Let's grow them up a day early! I usually don't do that with toddlers, but these two have been constantly harassed and growing up is the only way they can get out of their misery. Editha's doing fine. :)

That's an ecclectic lot of outfits to wear when it's almost winter. PAO! Put your shirt on! Old perv!

Helena & Elys: Yay, she grew up badly! Character building FTW!

It can only go up from here.

Peggy's turn to learn a lesson in hard knocks.

I totally love Gus and all his and Louise's kids. :)

Something about this picture looks slightly ominous.

If anything, the twins haven't been discriminated between. It's rather that everyone has been lining up to bathe them, put them to bed, take them out of bed, etc. If they were hungry, and someone went to get them a bottle, someone else would whisk them off for a bath before they could drink it. If they were stinky, someone would snatch them off to bed.

Editha: Yaaaay! Birthday! I had run inside to put on my winter clothes, because it was sooo cold! Did I miss anything?

I knew she wouldn't disappoint! She's a worthy heir, and the first one to actually look signigicantly different from Douglas. Then again, I kind of cheated when I made her father.

Francine was perishing from ennui, so she went out to see if she could meet a culturally enlightened guy who could handle an intelligent, empowered and oppressed artiste. First she gave an ironic karaoke performance.

Then she laid her eyes on a fella called Jason Menon.

Francine: Menon? That sounds French! Mais non? I love French stuff. My name is Francie.

Francine: You know, Jason... I think you and me could become very good fr... Jason?

Francine: Jason, why are you talking to that totally fake ginger? You can tell she's got blonde roots. Faking diversity is like... disgusting. And pink boots? Hello? Jason?!

Here's [livejournal.com profile] alittlestrange's Alan Duckling. :)

Since Jason was a total poser, Francie dropped him like a hot potato and went over to the Space Disco instead. She met Bruce, who I cloned from Lonzo.

Francine: I've always wanted to be a DJ. Wish I'd been around in the 70s. Nothing sounds as good as vinyl! But then again, I'd be like old and obsolete by now.

(Um, when did the 70s happen in the Magpie universe, exactly?)

Outside, Mr Tinker was having a mental implosion.

Francie? You haven't eaten one of those little flat candies with a picture of the Chesire cat on them?

Francie: You can never have too much equalizer! Turned all the way down.

This picture just looked kind of cool.

And some pictures need no caption.

Hi there, Nora! Your genes may help make this family beautiful one day!

Weedy: Swim! Run away from the opressive Humans!

Weedy: Awwwww, you came back to me with a present! This must mean you really like me! :')

Louise: Hey Gus, what are you doing? You've been in here for ages. The kids are starting to ask what you look like.

Gus: I'm working on expanding the reportoire for our show. You've got to have ambition, Lulu! I want to play new venues, reach new audiences!

This is probably the kind of pictures they'd have on their boxes of pre-fabricated Chinese food in the Troll world, if they had such a thing as pre-made food. Look how happy she is that Mommy (Actually, I think it was Ethan) heated up chicken chop-suey for dinner. "It tastes just like homemade!"

Just look at this obnoxiously wholesome family scene! Francine would have groaned with embarrassment, if she wasn't asleep, charging up for her next artistic outburst.

Weedy: Watch out, Sea Lice! I'M BAAAACK! >:D

Francine: Jason, it's still the same day! Duuuuh! Stop being such a band-aid. It makes you look needy.

Both Isabel and Weedy seem to move back up fairly quickly. I suppose it's because they've got all the skills they need already. BTW, hi there, Brice.

I love watching Sims play on the merry-go-round. :)

Isabel: Yeah? Not if I can do anything about it!

Yeah, she can stay young a little longer.

Just a regular water-balloon fight between the Headmaster and the butler. Nothing unusual about that.

Ethan: Take that, Korey! HARR HARR!

Korey: Take that, Ethan! LOL!

I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail.
Yes I would,
If I could,
I surely would.

I'd rather be a hammer than a nail.
Yes I would,
If I only could,
I surely would.

Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone
A man gets tied up to the ground
He gives the world
Its saddest sound,
Its saddest sound.

Burton constantly wants to sing duets, and I'll let him have pretty much any want that isn't about getting another puppy. Although, it's almost time for a new batch of dogs anyway.

If Mr. Vanderseaux really wanted that client, he'd have taken her case. Find her another lawyer, and get rid of her.

:)

Isabel also brought home the one and only lawyer/marine biologist Michelle. That lady will do it sharply in TS4, with all their multi-tasking.

Another Duckling cameo. This time by the fairest of them all, Karis. :)

She's so cute! <3

Francine finished her difficult second novel.

Weedy: They cannot keep me down! I'M THE OCEAN AVENGER! BTW, Pao came home with me again.

Good! Now she's only got like 94 000 Simoleons to make before she's happy. I think it will be faster to just let her fill her life-time Aspiration meter by fulfilling high-point wants like writing novels or painting.

Oops. Here lies Avery.

It was HARD to get the twins to sit down and learn to do homework. Their day-rythm was shot from day one, and they'd come home from school with no energy left and their fun in an angry shade of red. Then they'd wake up in the middle of the night to play with the podiums or sing. Rinse and repeat the next day.

At least Abbie got through her homework. Peggy gave up after having done about 25%.

Then it was time for Editha to grow up. Ooops, forgot her birthday.

She rolled blooping FORTUNE. x( And likes old men with good jobs, who are a bit out of shape from all the hours they put in at the office. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. After all, she grew up sharing a room with Francie. She's probably been putting ideas in Editha's head for years.

I'm just happy I didn't choose her for heir.

That hair kind of gives the impression that she's pretty. But it may just be me getting used to their characteristic features. When I first made Douglas, I thought he was so hideous I nearly got depressed when I looked at him, and wished I had made a cuter ugly founder instead, more like Gus or Alan Duckling.

Awww, both the remaining dogs are old.

I think it's safer to go with normal clothes.

That Edgar person must have some head-problems. But okay, it's not really a big deal. Better than demotion, so now we know how to handle that card from now on.

And now: Flu Time!

If she's awake, I'm sure she wants to chat, Alan. :)

Weedy: Forget it! Humans would only exploit her, and they're SO not ready to know about the existence of Mermaids!

Weedy: HARR HARR HARR HARR HARR HARR HARR HARR HARR HARR

Weedy: BOOOOOOOOM! HARR HARR HARR!!!

I need to have someone ask Michelle what job she's actually got in the game.

Rose's good sleeping genes are still dominant in her grandchildren.

Good work, Molly!

She's getting there again.

But I don't want Ettie to grow old, happy or not! I've made her compulsively fulfill all her wants about washing dogs, learning skills, etc. And it's also been very hard getting Burton to earn all the points he needs to avoid aging up.

That's +2500 at least.

Elys grew up. I didn't get a good picture of her, because she grew up by the spiral staircase that leads up to her flat, and there were people crowding around. She's not getting a make-over anyway, because her hair fits an old lady perfectly.

Yeah, that's Peter Ottomas photobombing the messages.

I... thought I had a picture of her! Blanche is their first cat.

The plot of Francie's third novel. This one doesn't actually feature AundraVerlie and her lover, because triologies are too mainstream.

Apparently, I didn't take any actual pictures for an hour and a half, because I was busy trying to get everyone who needed them their Aspiration points.

She didn't actually need to keep her job anymore, since she's Perma-Plat anyway. As you can tell, she never did really well in her career, despite working in it for 110 years.

Weedy's doing great!

There! Both of the twins have learned to study. That's good, because Editha wants to go to private school.

Do I really fail that badly at taking pictures of the new pets? Anyway, they got a black, long-haired puppy named Will. Both Ettie and Burton needed the 5000 points, and Lola was becoming a very old dog.

This time Grim came for Mary Elizabeth. She's the first of the actual Generation 2 to die from old age.

She really didn't have much money. If she hadn't used the lamp, she'd never have gotten platinum.

Blanche is a little bully. She chased Will around the lot all night.

Editha called the Headmaster. She really wanted to attend a more posh school.

Molly: Thanks, Elmer. What I really need, though, is a promotion! Who do I need to bribe around here to get that?

Weedy: Oh, but Algus Trollaeus Weedii already exists, sooo...

Weedy: But that was exactly why it was such a fitting name for it!

Ettie gained the last 500 points she needed by serving breakfast. I think the joy she felt at thwarting old age with only 8 hours to go made her a littl too enthusiastic, though.

Burton: I know you're an athlete, cousin. But is your arm supposed to be able to do that?

Here's her post-elixir face, for those who wanted to see. :)

And Weedy's back with her friends, the whales. :D

The Ocean Avenger is straight up creepy.

I think she is, ha ha!

Oh crap! The Headmaster! I had forgot he was coming! Good thing someone had already cooked.

Edita: Good Afternoon, Mr. Ryan. Welcome to our humble abode. You don't mind that I'm in my pyjamas, do you? It's an important part of our life style.

Yes, I know!!! D: Thing is, he only keeps rolling wants that can't be fulfilled. He wants to talk to Isabel about grilled cheese (Secondary Aspiration), but she refuses to. He wants to influence someone to serve grilled cheese, but doesn't have enough Influence. He wants to age up well, which is what I'm trying to stop in the first place. And he wants another dratted puppy!

Molly: Oh no, you've gotta help me out, Professor! The Headmaster's here! I know he knows what I've done, and has come to scold me. I'll be so disgraced!

Alfie: You're still smokin' hot, Alfie boy!

Molly: Oh no, he's sitting down next to me! Professor, DO SOMETHING!

Mr. Ryan: Oh, right. This is that family...

9-nicepointer Edna got assigned as the smoozer, since Molly was a bit unstable, and Alfie has a long-standing grudge against the man.

That's literally all the kids! Although Barth's almost an adult.

Editha: Oh. I guess this means you won't be coming with us to the Academy, then?

Huh? I thought he had another day before aging up. And it was late at night, not 6pm.

Look at these two in their sister-outfits!

Isabel: Alfie, it's all your fault!

Alfie: Owww! What is?

Isabel: ALL OF IT! D:<

Go after the whale, I guess.

Score!

Who needs a Dread Pirate? Weedy is the terror of the Seven Seas.

Since settling can get her fired because of a misunderstanding, it's better to counter-sue.

:)

Barth wanted to smooch someone, and popped out to meet some laydeez.

Bartholomew: Wow, you're the woman who might have been my grandmother! You're hotter than I expected!

That probably won her over, dude.

It did. O.o

That's good to know, for the generations where she's eligible as a spouse. :)

I like how the loading screen shows the "main characters". And I've sort of made a decision: Weedy, Rowland, Helena and Burton stay around. Indefinitely.

:)

Here's Lela Duckling again, with her "real" haircut.

It makes sense that these two families should know each other.

Helena is HAPPY!

Three-bolters are always good at entertaining themselves. :D

Abbie didn't even make it to bed after school.

But look at how comfy she seems, curled up on the frozen lawn.

Then Neale died. :( I knew he was old, but it looked like he had several days left. His elderhood was very short. He grew old a few days into autumn, and died before winter started. I've got season's set to 14 days, so he was probably an elder for about 10 days.

I think Molly was his favourite person.

His ghost is transparent, so it was age that killed him, not the flu. Or did he starve to death?

With his colleague's passing, Gus went to get that one Charisma point he needed for a promotion. Only Gus Show probably wouldn't be much of a hit, so it was time for him to honour Neale by moving on in his own way.

He looks a bit scary when he smiles like that.

Reuben: I'm too sexy for my shirt, to sexy for my shirt, so sexy it huu-uuuu-uurts..!

Edna: I should have let Neale play with my puzzle toy!

Of all the people in the family, Edna was one of the three closest to Neale. To give you an idea of old she actually is, they were born on the same day.

And while all of this was happening, Lela played pool in her bikini. (No lame pun intended.)

Burton also took Neale's passing pretty hard.

Those are not dogs fighting! I saw someone dive into that dustball, and it was definitely a human!

Oh, would you look at that? It's Isabel and Alfie.

Reuben: Oh no! Isabel's hidden traumas from growing up in that madhouse must have come to the surface!

Reuben: If I stay there, I'll be as crazy as Isabel!

Abbie's an amazingly hardy child. Her great-grampa Doug must be so proud!

Isabel: I hate you, Alfie, you garbage pile!

Alfie: Oww! Leave my eyes in my face, wildcat!

I think Alfie has taken over from Rowland as Isabel's Objet de Raeg.

Molly: Great job, Dad. I hope you handle your political rivals as brutally and efficiently as this.

The things I do for my favourites... And look, I remembered to get a screenshot of her stats.

Great name for a dog. :)

Edna: We're just happy it wasn't another baby you needed to get the last few points.

Awesome! She's almost back to where she was!

I think Blanche is a Russian Blue, so maybe "white" isn't such a fitting name for her. But then again, "Bleu" doesn't sound all that nice. Bluuuh.

How many days have Reuben hung around now?

Rowland is popular with the young ones, because he's the cool grampa they all wish they had.

This is Bessie, she works with Helena. Actually she looks a bit like Helena as well.

Because she's her "biological mother." It's Fronie, just blonde! I remade her.

This kid is perfection!

I love her sister too, but I can't do double heirs again until the number of family members are back down at ten or lower.

Reuben: Mom, do I have to go back? Heather is so mean to me, and I miss Ethan's cooking!

Elys: It's not my decision, kid. I'm not Head of House anymore. You'll have to ask Louise.

Reuben: But she says no! :(

They look so smart in their school uniforms.

I wonder if I should ship these two back to the ISBI house as well.

Reuben's still here.

The only difference between Burton and Barth, if you don't count their skintones or natural haircolours, is their eyes. Those were the only thing Barth got from Isabel.

It's hilarious how it's always Alfie people worry about. He's a lot more fit than Isabel.

Rowland: I can't watch! Do something, Helena!

Helena: Aww, this reminds me of home, when we were kids. Except we never actually fought as kids...

Isabel: You disgusting BRUTE!

Helena: Awww, Rowland is so cute when he's all defenseless and pacifist. He's so not used to violence. <3

I just feel the need to say that the mighty warrior here ran and hid in the bathroom multiple times.

Bye, Reuben!

Helena: Don't worry, Sissy. You just need some more practic, and you'll kick the shit out of Alfie. He's getting old soon, so he'll be less of an opponent as well.

Isabel: Awww, thanks! Yeah, I've got experience beating old men. You should have seen what I did to............... your husband.

Alfie: Why is she being so mean? And why isn't Helena standing up for me? Why isn't Weedy standing up for me?

Louise wanted to throw a birthday-party for the twins, so I had her invite some people over. She apparently doesn't know her cousins Jen and Heather, and I didn't bother summoning them, so the guests were just a random bunch of people.

We haven't seen Wilandra and her crazy face in a while. :D

This time they were in good aspiration, at the very least. They skipped school so they could play and get their fun up before hitting puberty.

Please don't roll Fortune. Please DON'T roll Fortune! PLEASE don't roll Fortune!

Here's Peggy, a little taller but pretty much as she was before.

Okay... Who told Wilandra she could bring her dad? He's even worse than she is!

She rolled Fortune. :( Mary Elizabeth's plan to impress her values on Peggy as a baby must have worked. She also likes dirty, greasy chefs who don't wear hair-covers. Sounds a lot like Brice's preferances, to be honest. But whatever, Peggy's not the heir.

Aaand here's Abbie. Oddly enough, the girls coordinated their outfits. They've got the same type of halterneck top as their everyday wear as well.

AAAAARG! She rolled Fortune! She rolled FORTUNE! Nooooooooooo!

ARE YOU HAPPY NOW, MARY ELIZABETH? ARE YOU FINALLY HAPPY???

And while all this was happening, Lola was being fetched for the Rainbow Bridge. I didn't understand why I couldn't save, because I always save right before and right after someone ages up. So long old friend. For a Poodle, you sure wasn't very preppy.

Abbie got notably uglier between toddler and child, but as a teen she actually took a turn for the better.

Will grew up into a gorgeous, fluffy dog. <3

Lola's grave was sent off to St Michael's Cemetary, to rest there with Laney, Avery, Joe, Avis, Pat and a lot of MacAvoy dogs.

The party was not very lively, obvious events excluded, so Abbie brought out th DJ booth to get people dancing.

Helena really enjoyed herself...

In the kitchen, however, a Smustle-crowd formed.

Editha and Sharkey went to school, and missed their sisters' aging up. But they came home in time to join the dance and brought some friends with them.

I love that replacement outfit Melody's got.

Here's Grace Duckling. She seems surprised about someting.

This is her Smustle-face.

This is Wilandra's.

Reuben and Jonathan found their way to the hot tub.

And bonded over a discussion of busts. Total bromance.

And here's the verdict. :)

Hope you enjoyed the update. Next time we head back to the Macs, to see if Jen can get a grip on her kids, and who will be the Generation 4 heir.

OH LOL I love what you did with the butler! XD Though I like Ethan, too.

Great debut novel, Francie! And I have to wonder if Weedy keeps sabotaging herself at work so she can get back to underwater detonation.

That's cute giving the twins matching shirts. I LOLed at the toddler shirts.

Uh...does Francine have anorexia or something? Quit starving, hon!

Bartholomew + Keely would be mighty interesting indeed. In my current game play, Douglas decided he likes my generation eight heir's sister, and I thought the same thing: time for some CAS fun! Once you see her, you'll understand! And I'll show you the CAS children, too.

Alan is so cute! It looks like he's just as genial in your game as he was in mine. AND MY KARIS!!! I'm embarrassingly nuts about her. She has my favorite Duckling face shape to date.

I really love how Abbie is coming along! She's an interesting step ahead in Magpie evolution.

I'll be back to read the last half later!

I prefer Ethan around the house on a daily basis. He's been around so long that he's a family friend, and usually asks if he can hang out at night. That's why Allan the Lurch has to come over now and then, because Ethan doesn't go before it's time to go to work again. So Allan's become a funny recurring guests star like Michelle.

The worst thing is that I'm sure some snooty reviewer would have read Francie's novel and loved it. She's a true bohemian, and sometimes the intensity of the art makes her forget to eat or sleep. :)

I mixed Barth and Keely in CAS, when I rolled the pacifier for Jen's latest (and hopefully last) baby. The offspring were much better looking than the results of Douglas & Grace, since both of them have a few normal features to hand down. I'll post them later.

Abbie's got crazy potential. After seeing her as a teen, I'm convinced that Chester is the one for her. I'll use the Aspiration reward thing to reset her preferances to red hair and logical, and see if she can get him as a date from the Fortune Teller.

Thank you for reading and commenting!

Plus he has that awesome face template!

Abbie + Chester = I HOPE IT HAPPENS. Too bad you don't have Uni. That's the perfect tool for spouse hunting because your heir doesn't age. Then you could use the time to visit every community lot in your game and have a better chance at running into him. I gave Vanessa compatible aspiration and astrological sign to Adonis so they would be sure to like each other. Then it was only a matter of finding her around town.

As always, it's my pleasure. :^)

Heh, now the butler has evolved from Lurch to Gomez.

I'd read Francine's novels.

You know, I had never noticed the weirdness of the promotion levels in the Politics track until you've pointed it out. You're absolutely right, though, it's weird to have mayor be a bigger career level than senator. o_O At least with the Sims 3 the top level is Leader of the Free World, which makes much more sense.

KEELY! ♥

Hahaha Stephen Tinker's flour baby.

So Jason ditches Francine, and yet the very same day he's pestering her on the phone because she won't call? Hmph.

It looks as if Karis is enjoying the sunshine now that she's not a vampire. :P

NOOOOO MARY ELIZABETH! D:

Weedy looks so awesome with that hair. Scary, but awesome.

Aw, Neale. :(

The Fortune aspiration seems to be haunting you. In my case, for a long while, it was Pleasure. Eventually I had to cheat and remove it from my randomizer because aaaaaaargh.

GRAAAAACE! ♥ ♥ ♥ I hope your game has generated a Yehudi for her to stalk. My Grace had three of them.

I'm pretty sure Francie's novels are actually pretty boring. :P You know, the kind you'd be made to read in the last couple of years in High School, which your teacher used a whole lesson on explaining why it was such a groundbreaking milestone in the evolution of the literary narrative, and that it would alter your perception of everything if you just had the maturity to understand it, which you apparently didn't. Or maybe that was just me.

To be fair to Jason, Francie wasn't exactly the most polite person ever. :P

Poor old Mary Elizabeth. :( At least she had Perma Plat and went off to the Sim-afterlife without complaining. And she's finally free from the stranglehold of money.

I love Weedy's make-over. :D She's on a mission now!

The most annoying thing about all three girls rolling Fortune is that the random number generator I use for picking it boasts that it's the only one that offers true randomness, because instead of a randomizing algorithm, it uses intergalactic noise. x(

I still haven's seen Yehudi around. :( Maybe I need to send my Sims Downtown more. I really should do some more work on the awful bowling/bar/restaurant I built.

Thank you for reading and taking time to leave a comment! :)

Aww, so long, Mary Elizabeth! Too bad you had to die stinky. I don't think I've added her to my game yet. I'll have to check.

Thanks for showing us Ettie's post-elixir face. She's really fierce. I'd like to have Ettie in my game, too, when you can get SimPE to behave.

I loved the headmaster dinner picture with Alfie admiring himself and Molly cracking up. What a perfect time for him to sit down to dinner.

I like the way Weedy shot back up her career, and she looks more formidable than ever with her new hair.

Yay for the immortal Magpies! I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants to keep immortals! I get so attached to my little sweethearts.

Lela is definitely more recognizable as Lela with the hair. :D

So long, Neale! Judging by the picture, it looks like old age did him in. Starvation ghosts have a bit more color to them, like Zachariah and Caleb Duckling, the two moronic generation three spouses.

I LOLed at Abbie's I've-come-home-from-school-with-homework face. She is really amazing. I'm glad the eye stalks are going on another generation.

The Ducklings had a "house guest" for three days during generation seven. He never slept or even passed out. My mind boggled.

THEY BOTH ROLLED FORTUNE! Wouldn't you know. Fortune Sims are so hard to keep happy. I told you that Fortune and Pleasure are my least favorites--that's exactly what Aphrodite and Adonis were. Aphrodite was always in the low green, but fortunately Adonis flew through his career track and went perma-plat quickly.

But they're both amazing teens! Abbie is definitely growing into her looks.

Grace was always interesting. Every other life stage was better for her. She was kind of cute as a toddler, but an ugly child, then she was kind of a cute teen, but an ugly adult, then her elder years suited her. She looks really cute in your game!

Loved their parties! It's always fun to throw a party even if you don't get top marks for it. My wedding parties are my only roof raisers for some reason.

Mary Elizabeth is here. I just haven't gotten around to updating the Adopt-A-Magpie page.

I'll PM you the link when I get Ettie uploaded.

I'm surprised the Headmaster is even willing to come back, to be honest. On the other hand, he knows it will be very entertaining. I think that may be why he allows the kids in at all.

The Man cannot keep Weedy down! Muhahahahaaa! I think it was turning her into The Ocean Avenger that convinced me that I should keep her and a few of the others around as long as possible. A legacy is kind of like those long-running shows where the cast is almost completely replaced ever so often, but there are a few old favourites still hanging around. Those are the ones who are the show. (It's a bit embarrassing to admit, but I'm a big fan of Heartbeat.)

I'm not sure how I'll keep Editha and Peggy happy as money-grubbers in a wholesome farming community. I'm going to use the Aspiration reward to re-roll for Abbie. She needs different preferences if she's going to bag Chester, and I'll give her a new aspiration at the same time. I don't think it's cheating to change her preferences, since I have to use an in-game object to do it.

All the Ducklings are cute in their own ways. I love it when one of them pops around, like "Crossover!" :)

I'll have to see if I've already downloaded her. I'm pretty sure you gave me the link before. Can't wait to have Ettie roaming around Frond Valley and looking slightly sinister.

Good analogy! There are Sims in every family that are like the heart and soul of the family. Then there are Sims that you just adore for no real reason. :D (And I looked up Heartbeat and it sounds interesting. It was a police drama? My favorite show of all time, Cagney and Lacey, was a police drama.)

A quick way to make a Fortune Sim happy when they roll the want to make money is to have them freestyle for tips, then have another family member give them the biggest tip. I do that for my Fortune teens.

Don't you need the Uni EP for freestyling? :(

Heartbeat's not really a police drama in the strictest sence. It starts out as one, but after the first three or four seasons, which dealt with relatively heavy themes connected with the 60s, it became more of a nostalgic feel-good ensemble piece revolving around the village itself. I think my favourite episodes from it are the "middle periode" when it's starting to become more funny, but still has bit of a nerve.

I may have to check out Cagney and Lacey, since I love police shows. :)

I really have no idea which actions come with which EP. :O You should invest in Uni, though. Maybe if you get a desktop computer? There are mods to make the semesters shorter. I use a 48-hour or a 36-hour mod, depending on how much time I think I'll need.

I can't gush enough over Cagney and Lacey. It ran from 1982-88, and it's about women cops. One is single and one has a family, and they face challenges in their personal lives as well as sexism in the workplace. And of course they have a case to solve in every episode, and it doesn't always end well. I love all the characters so much. It's well-written, and the acting is superb. Tyne Daly in particular is a fabulous actress. And I'll stop now! XD
