Yes, I may have developed a little addiction to Cooking Simulator. But look! Sandbox mode! All recipes and ingredients are unlocked!

What's the fun in sandbox mode if you're just going to follow recipes, though? Nah, I'm going to freewheel this, and make a huge pot of vegetable stew. This is a variation on a dish my Mom used to make a lot. She didn't use peppers in it, and usually not cabbage, but there are no real rules for how to make this. OK, I think it needs to contain potatos and carrots, but that's the only rule.

Which reminds me that I forgot carrots. BRB!

There are several ways of transfering ingredients from one place to another, but for maximum immersion you should tip the cutting board like you would in real life, and try to aim at the pot.

Half of the cabbage fell on the floor, and I tried rinsing it off under the sink. That doesn't seem to be coded into the game, actually. Well then, it can just sit in the sink until I need it.

I cut way too much cabbage, and it's not fitting into the pot! Shredding it a bit in the food processor should do the trick.

Not gonna lie, that actually looks pretty tasty! It's like a perfect autumn meal, all colourful.

For liquid, I decided to make a paste of the tomatos, horse raddish, peppers and garlic. This is definitely a little more spicy than how Mom used to make it.

You see that thing on the left side of the food processor? I discovered that this is the automatic cutter.

I kind of.... didn't hit the pot on the first try. OK, I'll just make the paste over.

Wow, that's a lot of liquid for being just ground veggies! Now let's add some meat.

We need seasoning! I saw on Youtube that the red bowl lets you carry a lot of items at once.

Hey! Why does everything I drizzle into the pot go straight to that one piece of pork?

Boiling it didn't make it look better. I've extracted some.... soup from the pot. (Somehow this didn't become stew. Maybe I used too much veggie juice?) Let me just fish up some pieces of meat and assorted vegetables, and we'll try serving this.

That was when I discovered to my sadness that you can't serve custom dishes in this game. D: At least not yet. All I could do was try to brand it as the Chef's Surprise and push my fabulous meat and vegetable stoup (stew that is soupy) to people who had ordered something else. And instead of giving me useful feedback, they just complained that their baked trout didn't include any trout, and that they got a lot of things they didn't ask for. The world is never ready to think outside of the box. :C
