I hope the peppermint helped and that you're starting to feel better now! You know what? I think I had an empathy cold last night. I went to bed, turned on my right side, and my right nostril plugged up and stayed that way for a few hours. X)

It's good you've had the weekend to rest. A lot of people go out anyway, but the best thing in the world for an illness is to stay in bed (unless you absolutely have to go to work, of course). My grandmother was really adamant about that. She also taught how to avoid catching colds: Never touch your eyes or your nose with your fingertips. Germs reside there, picked up from stuff you touch, so you should also wash your hands as often as possible. Also, if someone with a cold coughs or sneezes, stop breathing and get out of there if you can. X) This one time my cousin and I were in line at a checkstand, and some guy came behind us and started coughing his lungs up. We could have stepped out of the line, but we didn't. We went back to my house, and a few hours later we both started feeling like death. We'd caught the flu. X( I had a fever of 102, and it felt like I was seeing through a very long tunnel. I remember being so hot that I had to keep my hair in a tight bun. X( X(

That's definitely a cold-induced dream! The sicker you are, the more wacky detail your subconscious throws in. For the lulz, or because it's disturbed? I know we've talked about "visitation dreams" of people who have passed on--from what I understand, if they do anything to scare you, or if the general feeling of the dream is negative, then it's not really a visitation. They would never want to scare us or make us feel bad. Sometimes they may tell us stuff we didn't want to hear, but the mood will never be negative.

I forgot to add the weirdest thing that happened in that dream. The whole timeline of the events is pretty unclear, but somewhere in there I found myself watching some sort of children's Christmas thing on video. I have a feeling I've dreamt about that non-existing video before, so yass for continuity? Also on the tape (it was VCR) was a 2000s music video of A-Ha, playing a very pretty, sad A-Ha-ish song. I had never really understood the meaning of the lyrics before, but now I realised it was about this guy who had stood by his convictions on right and wrong, while his family and loved ones felt the opposite way about it, and the trust was gone. :( It was so melancholy and feeeeels. Why do I hear all these amazing songs in my dreams? Some of them are soooo beautiful, and they're nothing I recognize from real life.

I'm feeling a lot less congested tonight, but my head still throbs like a sore thumb. It's worst whenever I have to cough. At least I can press a pillow against my chest, to restrict how much my lungs can vibrate by a bit, but I can't restrict my brain from feeling like it's exploding.

Recurring dream themes! I have a lot of them, too. I also dream about music that I've never heard in real life. If one were a musician, one could possibly write it down.

I looooooove Pål Waaktaar's lyrics! I love this video because it depicts him being a thoughtful writer. X) "My pains fade as the interiors fog"! When I was a teenager, I was always morbidly thrilled when he mentioned death. I think when I bought Stay on These Roads (on cassette!), the first thing I did was scan the lyrics for mentions of death. XD And Morten Harket was one of my first crushes!

Hey, look at that! Someone made a Lost Boys fan video to "Scoundrel Days"! Ohmahgawsh! And I just dreamed of the Lost Boys last night. I'll have to PM you, because it was interesting.

Ugh, I know about the head pounding! STAAAAAHHHHHPPPP!!! Please?
